For the past few weeks, fans of the Buffalo Sabres have been waiting for an announcement that billionaire Terry Pegula has purchased the team. The team has scheduled a news conference for noon when they officially announced the sale of the Buffalo Sabres. Fans have been waiting patiently for the deal to be completed. Many fans are looking forward to a change. A change they think will be for the better.

"I think it's a great thing for that someone is coming in with maybe more passion than our current owner," Jim Costello, a Sabres fan said. Although the news conference will not include the new owner, fans believe he will bring a new attitude to the organization. "I think it's great. From what I've heard about what he did with Penn State hockey, it sounds like he really wants to invest some money and maybe we have a future," remarked Sean Cahill.

Fans, like Castello, appreciate Tom Golisano's rescue of the team from bankruptcy. "Golisano did a great job of saving the Sabres and keeping they here. Now we have someone with some money and maybe some more passion. Hopefully it's a step in a positive direction," he said.

Many fans say that the current ownership has made a lot of bad moves with the team. They say they want someone who will spend money to make the team more competitive. "I think that they have let way too many player Danny Briere and Chris Drury. I think that he'll help us rebuild and get stronger," said hockey fan Evan DeMayo.

Cahill doesn't hold back, " I think Golisano ruined the Sabres. I don't think that anybody has invested any money or wanted to win. I just think they just wanted to return a slight profit. Now we have got a guy actually wants to win. I think there's hope." Fans will have to wait and see what changes might take place and soon anything will happen.
