NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. ( release ) On February 23, 2012 Niagara Falls Police Detectives Patricia McCune and Daniel Dobrasz arrested 21 year old Zachary Lowman of 87th Street in Niagara Falls, NY for Rape 1st and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Lowman is accused of raping a 14 year old girl in November 2011 while she was under the influence of K2 - synthetic marijuana. The victim told Detectives that Lowman invited her back to his house where the two smoked a K2 cigarette. After which the victim began to "feel numb and began to shake" the victim also said she had no control over her body and could not speak. At one point the victim passed out. When she woke-up she realized she was being sexually assaulted.
When Lowman was arrested on Feb. 23rd he admitted to Detectives that he smoked K2 with the victim. Lowman also claimed the two had consensual sex and that he believed the victim was 18 years old.
Lowman was arraigned in NF City Court on Feb. 24th, he is currently being held without bail in Niagara County Jail.
