(Niagara Falls, N.Y.) On April 4th, Army Sergeant Michael Lammerts was one of two soldiers who were shot and killed by an Afghan Border Policeman.

General David Petraeus called the killings "Blatant Murder."

Tuesday morning, the body of the 26-year old Tonawanda native was flown into the Niagara Falls Air Base.

At a special transfer ceremony, US Army soldiers carried the flag draped coffin of Staff Sgt. Lammerts to a waiting hearse.

The wake for Army Staff Sergeant Michael Lammerts will take place tomorrow and Thursday at the Amigone Funeral Home on Sheridan Drive in the Town of Tonawanda.
Calling hours are between 2 and 4... and again from 7 until 9.

Sergeant Lammerts' Funeral will be held at the same location Friday morning at 10am.

Staff Sgt. Lammerts will be buried with full military honors at the Elmlawn Cemetery.
