FBI Pays $2.1 Million Reward to 'Whitey' Bulger Tipsters

According to the Boston Globe, the FBI has paid out $2.1 million to tipsters who helped lead to the capture of reputed Boston gangster James "Whitey" Bulger and his girlfriend earlier this year.

Bulger was captured in California in June, along with longtime girlfriend Catherine Greig. The money was pair to more than one individual, according to the report. The FBI said it paid $2 million for the arrest of Bulger, and $100,000 for the arrest of Greig.
