Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW) - An Erie County judge calling the crime a 42 year old Western New York man committed "psychological molestation."

Thursday, former Kenmore Middle School teacher William Kuhn was sentenced to six months in prison and five years probation for sending sexually explicit photos through text messages to a 14 year old student.

Kuhn was crying and visibly upset as his 14 year old victim recounted the two year relationship into which she says he manipulated her.

As a part of his July plea deal, Kuhn forfeited his teaching license and has since relocated to Florida, though he will serve his sentence in Western New York.

At one point in court as the victim read her statement, Kuhn's wife left the courtroom upset and on the verge of tears.

The victim also claimed to the judge that Kuhn's wife repeatedly harassed her on Facebook following her husband's arrest and although he did not take that into consideration when giving his sentence he did say it was "completely ridiculous."

The judge also granted an order for protection which states Kuhn cannot make any contact with the victim for 8 years.
