People lined up on Nottingham Terrace in Buffalo on Sunday, some for the opportunity to buy a piece of the good life, while others just wanted to check out one of the city's most impressive mansions. The Miller Mansion recently sold for a record price of $1.8 million. Each day of the three-day estate sale at the mansion drew large crowds. The soon-to-be-former owner Rick Snowden decided the selling of the home was also a good time to part with many of his collections including antiques, furniture and political memorabilia.
"It (the mansion) was spectacular," says Franklin Lavoie, a visitor at the estate sale, "The details in the architecture are just extraordinary. Even on the outside they have all these details in stone. It looks like a cathedral in England,"
A Canadian couple agreed to purchase the Miller Mansion earlier this month.
