Erie County Sheriff's Deputies Arrest Three People Overnight

WNY (WKBW/Release) - In the first incident, Deputy Avery observed a vehicle on Transit Rd. in Elma that was unable to maintain it's lane and unable to stay on the right side of the road.

The vehicle was driven by 46-year-old, Vincent Blasio of Hamburg.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that Blasio was intoxicated. Blasio was arrested for DWI and taken to the Erie County Sheriff's Elma substation where he submitted to a chemical breath test.

His test results showed his blood alcohol content to be .16%. Blasio was released to a third party on uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Elma Court at a later date.

Deputies Biegasiewicz and Okal were working a detail in the City of Buffalo when they observed a vehicle improperly stopped in the road on Broadway at Schutrum in the City of Buffalo.

The Deputies observed that the driver, 56-year-old, David Thompson of Amherst, was intoxicated.

Thompson was arrested for DWI and was transported to the Erie County Sheriff's Grand Island substation where he submitted to a chemcial breath test.

His test results showed his blood alcohol level to be .12%. He was released on uniform traffic tickets returnable to Buffalo City Court at a later date.

Deputies Pisa and Hanna were on patrol in the Town of Collins when they observed a vehicle failing to stay in its lane.

After stopping the vehicle and further investigation by Deputies Hanna & Pisa, they found that the occupant of the vehicle, 24-year-old, Sammie Harris of Buffalo, was in possession of a narcotic drug.

Harris was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree which is a D Felony and several vehicle and traffic charges.

Harris was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment in the Town of Collins Court.
