Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of three people for Driving While Intoxicated by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in separate incidents on Friday night.
While on patrol in Newstead at approximately 9:00PM, Deputy Gene Nati arrested Jeremy M. Zymowski (38) of Darien Center and charged him with DWI, Driving with a Suspended License and multiple traffic infractions after he stopped his vehicle for driving 82 MPH in a 45 MPH zone on Crittenden Road. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .14%. He was processed and released on appearance tickets for Newstead Court.
While on patrol later in the night in Alden at approximately 1:30AM, Deputy Nati arrested Daniel T. OHare (45) of Williamsville and charged him with Felony DWI and traffic infractions after investigating a one car personal injury crash on Crittenden Road. OHare was unable to inform the investigating Deputies what he struck with his vehicle. He was transported by ambulance to ECMC for treatment of an assortment of injuries. Deputy Nati secured a blood sample at the Hospital to determine his blood alcohol content. The Felony charge was filed due to a previous conviction for DWI from 2003. He was processed at ECMC and released on appearance tickets for Alden Court.
While on patrol in Sardinia at approximately 5:00AM, Deputy George Avery arrested Justin J. Compo (23) of West Falls and charged him with DWI and traffic infractions after investigating a one car property damage crash on South Protection Road near Vermont Hill Road. Compo apparently lost control of his car and drove into a small creek. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .16%. He was processed at the Springville Station and released on appearance tickets for Sardinia Court.
These arrests marked the 139th, 140th, and 141st arrests for DWI by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2013
