Around 8pm last evening, Erie County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch on Genesee Street in the Town of Alden.
Upon arrival, Deputies determined that the driver, 44 y/o Christine M. Mardocco of Depew, was intoxicated when she lost control of her vehicle, struck a mailbox, and went into the ditch.
Ms. Mardocco was charged with DWI and submitted to a chemical breath test which showed a reading of .24% BAC, three times the legal limit. Having had a prior DWI conviction, Ms. Mardocco was charged with a felony offense.
Ms Mardocco was later released on appearance tickets to a third party, returnable to the Town of Alden Court at a later date, and her vehicle was towed with a 12 hour DWI hold.
This was the 132nd DWI arrests of the year by the Erie County Sheriff's Office.
