BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Buffalo Police are continuing to investigate a home invasion on the city's east side Saturday night.

Officers responded to a call around 6:30 p.m. on Longview Avenue, and say possibly three suspects forcibly entered the home and assaulted an elderly man in the house.

The victim, in his 90's, was struck in the head, face, arms and body and suffered a possible broken jaw, according to police. He is currently being treated at ECMC and is listed in Fair condition.

The suspects ransacked the house, destroying a number of flat screen televisions. They also appear to have made-off with jewelry, cash, hunting rifles, shot guns and other items.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Buffalo Police Confidential Tip Line at (716) 847-2255. Tips can also be e-mailed at www.bpdny.org.
