Buffalo Mayor Brown, along with the Buffalo Police Department, addressed the media at a press conference Saturday afternoon at 2p.m. regarding the latest developments in the Saturday morning fatal shooting. Buffalo Police Chief of Detectives Dennis Richards told EWN there was a wedding anniversary party at City Grill on Main Street Friday evening. The couple, who had gotten married a year ago in Texas, were hosting local friends at the celebration.

Richards went on to say there was some kind of altercation in the restaurant and the manager asked the entire party to vacate the premises.

Once outside, the altercation continued and shots were fired resulting in eight people being struck. Four of the eight victims were killed; four others, all males, were taken to ECMC.

The search for a suspect continues after a man was arrested and then released. City detectives continue to interview witnesses.
