Ellicott, NY (WKBW-Release)
While speaking to the driver, CARL BARBERA, 33, of Randolph, Trooper KRYWALSKI smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of BARBERA’s vehicle revealed a cigarette box containing 20 hydrocodone pills, for which neither BARBERA, nor passenger BRIAN DONER, 16, of Randolph, had a prescription, a small amount of marijuana in a container near the center console, and a bag containing marijuana was located on DONER’s person. Both subjects were arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Possessing a Controlled Substance in a non-original Container, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and BARBERA was additionally charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The subjects were transported to and processed at SP Jamestown; DONER was issued appearance tickets and released to his legal guardian. BARBERA was arraigned in the Town of Ellicott Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail. BARBERA and DONER are scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court on a later date.
