Buffalo, NY (WKBW) -- Buffalo police arresting 25 people this week in a series of raids over two days. Authorities confiscated guns, drugs, and cash from 30 locations on Buffalo's east side. Police describe most of the suspects as low level drug dealers who became a nuisance to the community. Some of the suspects are allegedly connected to gangs and violent crimes. Buffalo police say tips from the public led to the arrests.
Over on the west side of Buffalo, an investigator tells us the FBI served search warrants on Virginia Street and 16th Street this morning. Few details were available, but an investigator tells us the search warrants are connected to the arrests of around 30 people on the west side today. A source says they are charged with crimes related to drugs and murder. More details are expected Thursday morning.
