HAMBURG NY (WKBW) Eyewitness News first brought you the news through a source that Hamburg School Superintendent Dr. Richard Jetter admits he lied to police about vandalism to his car in Hamburg.
Jetter made the allegations May 6, and said his car was vandalized in the parking lot while he was inside a board meeting. Those statements are now proven false.
The popular superintendent has been placed on paid administrative leave, the board voted today.
A high-ranking source close to the case tells Eyewitness News that Jetter has been checked into BryLin Hospital in downtown Buffalo, and is being seen there. The hospital focuses on psychiatric and substance abuse treatment. It is unclear what treatment Jetter is receiving tonight.
Parents in the district, frustrated with the latest developments. Tax dollars are being wasted.
