Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW) Buffalo Developer Carl Paladino says there is a solid chance that Donald Trump will run for Governor of New York.

Paladino met with Trump in New York City on Monday at Trump's request, to offer an upstate perspective on current issues.

Trump said last week he'll run if he can get unified support from the republican party. He'll be in Buffalo on January 31st to meet with local republicans.

Paladino says he's backing a Trump campaign but that he would not be on the ticket. He believes Trump has the managerial experience to lead the state.

However, if Trump doesn't run, Paladino said he'd consider running himself.
