SYRACUSE, NY (WKBW/ABC) - Authorities in Syracuse have launched a desperate search for a missing college student who disappeared while home for Thanksgiving break.

20-year-old Jenni-Lyn Watson was last seen on Friday at her family's Syracuse home. Her keys were reportedly left behind, but her cell phone is missing. Police say that is unlike the honor student to not be in touch with her family, while friends say Watson would never have willingly walked out on her family.

Police are looking at her cell phone records to see if they include any unusual activity, however her phone is not turned on and cannot be used in the search.

More than 15,000 members have joined a Facebook page devoted to finding Watson, while family and friends continue to pass out fliers.

Watson is described as having dark highlighted blond hair and brown eyes. She is 5'2" tall and weighs about 100 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call Onondaga County Sheriff's detectives at (315) 435-3081 or 9-1-1.
