BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - A Depew woman pleaded guilty to stealing money from a local hockey club and area businesses over an almost seven-year period.
49-year-old Teresa Fusani pleaded guilty to grand larceny.
She admitted to stealing money from the Depew Saints Hockey Club from July of 2006 to January of 2010 while she worked as the club's treasurer.
After leaving her position in January of 2010 until April of this year, Fusani admittedly sent donation request letters to several businesses in Depew requesting donations for the club, only to keep those donations.
Attorneys say she stole the money to support her gambling habit.
Fusani will be sentenced on February 12th, 2014. She faces five to 15 years in prison.
