DEPEW, NY (WKBW) - 2013 will be a year of uncertainty for the Depew Lancaster Boys and Girls Club. Flames ripped through the clubhouse Tuesday morning, destroying the building that many local kids called their second home.
"It's a building we all grew up in. It's been a part of us for a long time. My father was the director," said Ron Giza, who has fond memories of the club when he was a child.
"I remember being here before the gym was even built in the 60's. Lot of ties from kids all around this area. Lancaster. This is all we had growing up," he said.
One firefighter suffered minor injuries. The cause is still unknown.
