Town of Wales, NY (WKBW)-Police are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that claimed two lives this past weekend. The incident happened at the intersection of Big Tree and Woodchuck Roads in the Town Of Wales around 4 a.m. Sunday morning. Investigators spent much of Monday examining the scene, trying to figure out what caused 29-year-old Christopher Marchewka of Alden to lose control of his motorcycle. The crash killed Marchewka and his 29-year-old passenger, Maureen O'Grady of Alden.

"At this time, we still don't know what caused them to crash," said Sgt. Daniel Dytchkowskyj. "There were no other vehicles involved as far as we know. We don't know if a deer ran out, another animal, we really don't know."

Sheriff's deputies trying to determine if speed, alcohol, or something else is to blame since details are still unknown. Investigators are now awaiting toxicology results. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Christopher Marchewka or Maureen O'Grady prior to the crash is asked to call the Erie County Sheriff's Department at 716-858-2903.
