West Seneca, NY
At around 5pm Friday night crews descended on the Lexington Green neighborhood to try and stop flooding from entering the homes of water weary residents in West Seneca.
Although town officials kept a vigilant eye on the creek over the past 48 hours they say the flooding happened so quick, they couldn't prevent it from overflowing the banks of Buffalo Creek and flooding streets.
It's not clear if the flood waters damaged homes.
A warming center was opened at the Winchester Community Church at 909 Harlem Road.
