BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - A day care teacher has been arrested and charged with felony possession of crack cocaine.
Town of Tonawanda Narcotics Detectives arrested 39-year-old Carrie-Jo Cleary after she was stopped on her way to work at Ripen With Us Child Care on Kenmore Avenue.
Police say that Cleary was in possession of 31 individually packaged rocks of crack cocaine as well as unlawfully possessing amphetamines and hydrocodone. Town of Tonawanda Police K-9 'Tank' located the drugs in the front compartment of Cleary's car.
Cleary has been charged with one count of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and three misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Cleary is being held pending arraignment in Town Court at a later time Friday.
