Boston, N.Y. (WKBW) The snow fell throughout the day on Tuesday creating dangerous afternoon and evening commutes for drivers.

Many roads in Boston and surrounding areas were sheets of ice, covered in snow and slush, making for dangerous conditions for drivers.

Several cars were spotted on the sides of roads, waiting for plows and salt trucks to make their way through the region.

The landscape includes several hills and many vehicles had a hard time driving up.

17 year old Jessica Wojtkowiak was on her way home from school when she was forced to pull over on the side of Rice Road and call her mom for help.

Her mother, Jacquie Wojtkowiak managed to walk up the icy and snow covered hill to get to her daughter and drive the rest of the way home.
