BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Sources telling Eyewitness News that at least 33 people have been arrested in a major prescription drug ring that spanned from Rochester to Orchard Park.Sources say that several houses on Strauss Street in Buffalo were raided this morning as part of this drug ring.

Michael McCall is the accused ringleader of operation. He was allegedly trying to flee when arrested a couple of days ago. McCall allegedly would train people on how to call doctors and fake symptoms in order to get prescriptions like Oxycontin, Oxycodone, Lortab, and other very strong prescription drugs.

Justin Doyle then allegedly sold the prescription drugs from the gas station in Cheektowaga where he worked. One Oxycontin pill could sell for as much as 80 dollars. Teenagers from the suburbs were often the buyers. The suspects are scheduled to be arraigned in U.S. Court this afternoon. The DEA is holding a press conference. We'll have the details of that tonight at 5 and 6 on Eyewitness News.
