Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - The groundbreaking of UB's new School of Medicine brought Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) to Buffalo. He focused much of his day on development in Buffalo.
Governor Cuomo took a bus tour of the inner and outer harbors. Local economic leaders told him about the progress that has been made and plans for the future.
Cuomo says this tour could have an impact on future funding for the Queen City.
"I come out and take a look, and this is basically a field visit for that team that makes the decisions on the regional competition," the Governor explains.
Cuomo says the difference between this visit versus years past is night and day, stating "people believe in Buffalo, people believe it's coming back. They've seen the progress."
