Cheektowaga, NY (WKBW) - After a night of family and food, some Black Friday shoppers did not even go to bed. Instead, they hit the stores to get as many doorbuster deals as possible.

Black Friday shopping is not just about the deal and steals.

David LaBorde, who went shopping with his family, said "it's a little crazy -- more the atmosphere."

This special day in the world of retail is an art for many!

Liliana Holden needed several cups of coffee to make it through the shopping extravaganza.

On the go since 7:30 Thursday evening, her goal was to shop for about 26 hours!

She started shopping at Walmart, before heading to the Niagara Falls Outlets. Lilian left the outlets at 5:00 on Friday morning, and then headed to the Walden Galleria Mall. Her only sleep -- a one hour nap in the car.

Exhausted, Lilian said "I'm actually ready to pass out -- I can't see straight," but she was determined to keep going.

She's not alone. Velvet Nelson said she "had breakfast here and then, when I left then I went shopping around."

Part of her strategy to making the day work -- wearing good walking boots.

Throughout the day, many could be spotted taking naps on benches or next to stores.

So why keep shopping while so tired? Many says, it's a great chance to stock up on gifts for the holidays.

Others use the opportunity to buy clothes and the latest accessories for themselves too -- often saving a bundle.

Lilian says "People are crazy to shop all night, right? And you know what, it's that hype, it's that excitement.

Doorbusters at major stores may be done for this year, but shoppers can still save.

Black Friday is followed by Small Business Saturday and then Cyber Monday.
