Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - Friday marks a somber day across the United States. It's the 50th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

President Obama has directed flags to be at half-staff nationwide.

Fifty years later, the country gathers again to remember Kennedy. A moment of silence will be held at exactly 12:30 in the afternoon central time -- the moment President Kennedy was shot.
