Tonawanda, NY (WKBW) - A Town of Tonawanda Councilman has been charged with stalking and harassment.
Police say Councilman Daniel Crangle was arrested Saturday after officers responded to a domestic incident.
Crangle was arraigned and released without bail.
The judge has also issued an order of protection for his victim.
Michael Vishion, who ran against Crangle in a previous election, is now calling for the council member's resignation.
Vishion says "I believe that the residents and especially the children of Tonawanda should not be subject to the dealings of such a person. Mr. Crangle's current position within the town board as Chair of the Town's Youth Parks and Recreation Department puts him in direct contact with our children and this should be stopped at once and can only be achieved through his immediate resignation."
