Lockport, N.Y. (WKBW) - The community is pitching in to help survivors of a gruesome domestic dispute. Leanne Tucker was shot in the face by her husband forty-four-year old Morris Tucker. Tucker then took his daughter, 3, hostage before shooting himself to death in front of the young girl.

Tucker was a two-time felon convicted of Assault for shooting a woman to death. He was even questioned in the murder of a thirteen-year-old girl who was killed back in the eighties.

Leanne is now recovering physically, while her daughter is dealing with emotional scars. She will need numerous surgeries to correct the damage to her face and jaw. Now, family members are asking the community for help. They want to raise money for Leanne and Leah and awareness about domestic violence.

The fundraiser will take place Saturday, April 27th. It will run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the South Lockport Fire Hall. There will be family and kid friendly activities, movies, 50/50 raffles and food. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door.
