Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW) With the temperatures dipping into the teens, a Code Blue has been issued for Western New York.
In Buffalo, two warming shelters opened their doors Monday night beginning at 8 p.m.
The Buffalo City Mission and Saint Luke's Mission of Mercy will be open through 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The shelters provide a warm place to stay and sleep and warm meals for those in need.
The shelters are run completely on donations and with the particularly harsh winter which has included the blizzard, the shelters have been open in some cases on consecutive nights.
