CLARENCE, NY (WKBW) -- Detectives with the Erie County Sherriff's Office have arrested 52-year-old James Hatok on charges of second degree rape, first degree sexual abuse, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Hatok was arrested Sunday night at his home on Main Street in Clarence after being interviewed by detectives. He is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl. Detectives have not reported whether Hatok was known to the alleged victim.
On Monday afternoon, Hatok was arraigned in Clarence Town Court by Justice Robert Sillars. Judge Sillars set his bail at $50,000, and Hatok was taken to the Erie County Holding Center.
Hatok is scheduled to appear in court for a felony hearing on Thursday, August 30, at 7 p.m.
