CLARENCE, NY (WKBW-TV) - Craig Walek of Clarence is facing numerous charges of sexual abuse. The 49-year-old Clarence Resident was arrested in connection with the ongoing repeated sexual abuse of a child which began when the victim was 12 years old.
Walek was charged with 44 felonies relating to the abuse.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office Detective's executed a search warrant at Walek's residence where additional evidence was seized relating to the manufacturing and the possession of child pornography.
Walek was charged with the following felonies:
* 11 counts - Use of a child in a sexual performance, a class C felony
* 1 counts - Criminal sexual act in the second degree, a class D felony.
* 2 counts - Rape in the second degree, a class D felony.
* 30 counts - Possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony
On December 20, 2012 Walek was arraigned in the Town of Clarence Court Judge Powers and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of 1 million dollars bail.
