BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown announced that the City is now offering to spend $400,000 to help restore instrumental instruction programs at 14 Buffalo public schools.

The programs were cut for 2013-14 academic year because of budget constraints.

Money for the funding would come from the City of Buffalo's general fund.

The proposal has to be voted on by the Buffalo Common Council, and Council President Richard Fontana is hoping to call a special session before school starts to take action on the matter.
