Buffalo, NY

Tanisha Mackin was at City Grill with her husband and saw him get murdered back in August 2010.

Now, Mackin has written a book about her experience. She says the hardest chapter to write was about the night of the killings.

Her husband, Danyell Mackin was shot and killed in the attack.

The couple had travelled from their new home in Texas to their native Buffalo to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary and baby blessing with family and friends.

But the trip soon turned to tragedy when her husband was one of eight people shot by gunman Ricardo McCray who was sentenced to life in prison for the murders in June.

What a lot of people do not know is that Tanisha was going through chemo therapy for colon cancer at the time of the shooting but her cancer is now in remission.

Mackin hopes her book can be an inspiration to others. She will host a book signing at True Bethel Baptist Church Saturday, November 5th from 1pm to 4pm.
