Buffalo, N.Y. (WKBW) - The Buffalo Common Council will meet to discuss how to keep cab drivers and their customers safe, Tuesday. They are suggesting putting cameras in their vehicles.

The issue was first raised last month, following the shooting death of Mazen Abdallah. The 55-year-olds body was found in the back seat of his Airport Taxi Service Town Car on Norfolk Avenue near Kensington in the Queen City. Police believe his murder was part of a robbery.

Not all cab owners are keen on this idea of putting cameras in their cars. They said it will cost extra money and many don't feel the cameras will deter crime. They point out Abdallah was shot outside of his cab.

Some lawmakers wonder if a camera could have helped catch Abdallah's killer. That person has yet to be brought to justice.
