(Buffalo, NY) A three-alarm fire that caused $250,000 damage to a vacant North Buffalo church on Saturday evening is now being ruled an arson.

The church is located at the intersection of Tacoma & Colvin Avenue in North Buffalo.

It is owned by the Korean United Methodist Church but has been un-used for several years, leading to community concerns that suspicious persons were entering the building and vandalizing it.

According to City of Buffalo officials, the owners have been cited on several occasions for code violations.

In January, the City moved to have the matter handled in housing court. An arraignment date is now being scheduled.

The Buffalo Fire Department is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person, or person, responsible for the fire.
