BUFFALO, N.Y.-(RELEASE)- U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. announced today that John Mola, 49, of Dunkirk, New York, who was convicted of possession of child pornography, was sentenced to 72 months in prison and lifetime supervised release by U.S. District Court Judge Richard J. Arcara.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Edward H. White, who handled the case, stated that the defendant possessed 25 images of child pornography on his computer. On May 14, 2009, law enforcement officials searched Mola's computer and discovered the images depicting prepubescent children, some less than twelve years old.
The conviction was the culmination of an investigation on the part of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of James H. Robertson, Special Agent-in-Charge.
