Charges Have Been Made in Fatal Accident

LOCKPORT, NY (WKBW/Release) - Collin Enzinna, 18 years old, a passenger in a vehicle operated by Dillon Sherman, age 19 of the City of Lockport, was killed in the accident.

Mr. Sherman was charged with Failure to Stop While Entering the Roadway from a Driveway and Failure to Yield the Right of Way.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office announced that charges have been placed in connection with the fatal motor vehicle accident which occurred on August 24th, on Slayton Settlement Road in the Town of Lockport.

The investigation conducted by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the New York State Police also determined that Jason Albert, 35 years of age, of North Tonawanda was driving an unregistered dump truck with improper registration for agricultural use.

The dump truck also exceeded the weight limit set by law. Jason Albert was also cited for not having the proper DOT stickers on the dump truck. The dump truck was hauling topsoil under the name of A & K Topsoil Services located in Lockport.

All charges are returnable to the Town of Lockport Court in October.
