LAWRENCE, KS (WKBW) Prosecutors have filed charges in the death of 27-year-old Clarence native Nicholas Sardina.
The Lawrence Journal-World reports Justin P. Gonzalez, of Mission, KS, is charged with reckless involuntary manslaughter in connection to Sardina's death on February 25 of this year.
Sardina was an Iraq War veteran, serving in the Army's 1st Infantry Division in Fort Riley. He later joined the Kansas National Guard and was attending the University of Kansas at the time of his death.
Gonzalez is scheduled to appear in court on July 26.
