Census: Minority Babies on Verge of Becoming Majority

A story by USA Today reports that babies of ethnic and racial minorities are on the verge of displacing white infants as the majority of newborns in the United States, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

According to the report, 2010 U.S. Census Bureau data shows that 50.2 percent of babies under age 1 are white and not Hispanic. That represents a decline from 57.6 percent in 2000.
