New York, N.Y. (WKBW ) - A celebratory dance by Buffalo Bills Stevie Johnson lead to a big blow for the team.

Johnson danced and pretended to shoot himself in the leg, making fun of Jets' receiver Plaxico Burress who spent time in prison on an illegal weapons charge after accidentally shooting himself in the leg at a New York nightclub three years ago.

These actions cost the Buffalo bills 15 yards for excessive celebration and person foul penalty. This then lead to the Jets' touchdown, which tied the game at 14. Many said this even cost Buffalo the game.

Some players, including Ryan Fitzpatrick, didn't even see the dance until they watched the media coverage. Johnson apologized for his actions.

"Having fun, having fun that's it and part of having fun ended up being a penalty and a touchdown for the jets. They ended up getting 14 and tying it up. We should be up seven but a stupid decision by myself led to a win by the jets and that's how I see it."

Burress himself said that he doesn't have a comment about he situation. He said that he is a fan of Johnson and feels he is "a great young talent".
