Candidates Speak Ahead of Debate

Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - Education, crime, development poverty will be up for debate on Monday night, as Mayor Byron Brown faces off against Democratic challenger Bernie Tolbert and Republican candidate Sergio Rodriguez.

Debate organizer Rod Watson, President of the Buffalo Association of Black Journalists, says expect tough questions for all three candidates.

Mayor Byron Brown plans to highlight the good in Buffalo and his ideas for progress. Brown says the city has been built up during his administration.

Rodriguez and Tolbert plan to tear down that argument, saying the city his low morale, with high unemployment and crime rates.

The debate begins at 7:00 pm at The Buffalo News Auditorium.
