A camera lens that apparently fell from a plane damaged a California home earlier this month, according to a story in the Santa Rose Press Democrat.
The lens left a hole in the roof of a home in Petaluma and damaged a pair of window screens on Sept. 2, according to the report. The story says police are tracking the lens' serial number and working with area airports and the FAA to determine whether it fell from a plane. Damage is estimated at $4,500.
