A 33-year-old man is in custody facing a number of charges after police found him in the bathroom of an Orchard Park food pantry Monday afternoon.
Around 12:05 p.m., Orchard park police received a call from a witness claiming an individual wearing a gray hoodie had just broken into the Tabernacle Food Pantry at 3185 Orchard Park Road.
While responding, police found a man, Edward Lawrence (no known address), attempting to hide in the bathroom.
Lawrence was uncooperative and had to be forcibly taken into custody.
He continued to be uncooperative when taken to the station for processing and arraignment. According to police, he urinated on the floors and walls, defecated, and tried to bite officers.
Lawrence was charged with Burglary, Felony Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration, and Harassment.
He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and will return to court March 6th.
