BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - The Buffalo School Board voted in favor of a plan to save two failing schools Monday.

Johns Hopkins University will manage East and Lafayette High Schools.

As was mandated by the State Education Commissioner, Erie County BOCES will step in and offer technical and career training courses to students.

The New York State Education Commissioner still needs to give final approval to this plan.

If he does, it would take effect this upcoming school year.
