BUFFALO, NY (WKBW-TV) - A Buffalo Police officer is out of the hospital tonight. 44-year-old Ivan Watkins was released from Erie County Medical Center Saturday evening.
Watkins, a 23-year veteran of the police department, suffered multiple injuries during an accident at Best Street and Sweeney on Tuesday night.
Watkins was assisting an abandoned vehicle when he was hit by 54-year-old James Robinson of Buffalo. Robinson was arrested and charged with DWI, Reckless Assault and Colliding with an Emergency Vehicle.
