Buffalo Police Investigate Shooting

BUFFALO, NY ( release ) Buffalo police continue to investigate the shooting of a man on Theodore Street early this morning.

Ferry-Fillmore District officers learned that 65 year old Dwayne Priester of Buffalo, had been shot multiple times after responding to the call. The victim was shot while he was outside a house in the 100 block of Theodore shortly after 3:30am and taken to Erie County Medical Center in a private vehicle.

"Although he was shot numerous times, the victim is expected to survive his injuries," according to Dennis J. Richards, chief of detectives.

He was initially listed in serious condition and underwent surgery earlier today.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in this investigation.
