Buffalo Police Release Name of Victim in Fatal Accident

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Buffalo Police have released the name of the man who died in a car accident early Sunday morning.

21-year-old Jireh Williams of Buffalo died when investigators say a vehicle, possibly traveling at a high rate of speed, struck a curb, guard rail and tree before landing on grass on the Kensington Expressway near Elm Street.

Williams was in the back seat, the driver, a 20-year-old male from Buffalo and another passenger, a 20-year-old from Amherst, were also transported to ECMC, where they are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
