BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - A Buffalo man was taken into custody Tuesday night after he allegedly stole a 2013 Dodge Dart Monday.

A Trooper stopped 22-year-old Rashawn Austin around 10:35 p.m. Police say when they pulled Austin over, they discovered his license was suspended and expired.

Austin was taken into custody and the vehicle was secured. An inventory of the vehicle revealed 9 1-gram bags of marijuana in the trunk.

Austin was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. He was also issued tickets for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

During a search at the DMV, a bench warrant for the City of Buffalo was found for Criminal Impersonation.

Austin was turned over to Buffalo Police for arraignment.
