Buffalo, NY (WKBW) - 20-year-old Darryl Fortner will now spend 1 year in jail on 5 counts of Reckless Endangerment Charges. Back in July, Fortner pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charges and admitted having unprotected sex with 5 girls without telling them he's HIV positive. Each count carries a 1 year sentence, but the 20-year-old will serve them concurrently in jail. Fortner's attorneys did not comment after Wednesday's sentencing. Due to the sensitivity of the case, the victims wished not to be identified and police would not disclose if Fortner infected any of his partners. The judge granted all 5 women orders of protection against Fortner for the next 5 years.
