Buffalo- If you've noticed that post office boxes on Buffalo's east side have been disappearing, you're not the only one. Local lawmakers want to know where they've gone too.

The local branch of the United States Postal Service confirms it received a resolution from the Buffalo Common Council asking where and why certain mail collection boxes have gone.

Post office officials say the placement of boxes is all about managing their resources and if a box is under used, they have to consider eliminating it.

Council is hoping to get some boxes reinstalled.
